The procedure can be used to repair various types of injuries:

The procedure is applicable in principle to all

The area of application is therefore diverse and wide-ranging.
When processing glass surfaces, a distinction is made between additive and subtractive processes. In the additive process, damage to the glass surface is filled with resin, hardened and then polished. In the subtractive process, on the other hand, minimal removal of the material (glass) takes place. The glass surface is minimally removed until an undamaged glass surface is achieved.
The predetermined breaking point (scratches) in the glass caused by damage is thus removed and the homogeneous stress distribution, as in the original pane, is restored. Finally, the complete and unclouded transparency of the glass surface is achieved through further grinding and polishing.
In the process of glass production, mechanical processing in the form of grinding and polishing is chosen as the last step in order to ensure that the pane remains clear. Grinding and polishing are therefore everyday practice in the production of glass. Our process is based on this process and is therefore ideally suited to glass as a material.
The removal of material does not significantly change the glass surface. The processing is carried out within the permissible manufacturer tolerances. The permissible tolerances of the nominal thicknesses for glass are regulated in standards and processing guidelines. An example of this is DIN EN 572 Part 2 float glass. This allows a nominal thickness deviation of +/- 0.3 mm for 8 mm float glass. The usual depths of glass scratches are between 0.02 and 0.05 mm. Grinding out the scratch does not have a negative impact on the glass surface.
Our processes eliminate or minimize optical impairments in the sense of distortions. Our method creates the transition from the surface to be treated to the untreated area in such a way that distortions in the transition are prevented. As a rule, the processing of the glass is not visible or disturbing to the average observer and therefore complies with the guidelines for assessing the visual quality of glass for construction.

Since damage to glass surfaces varies greatly in size and intensity and the type of glass, accessibility of the damage and other factors also play a role, it is not possible to give a blanket price statement and it would be unreliable. We only give exact price information after we have assessed the damage on site.
